The Job Fair on the Montepríncipe Campus, organised by the Career Centre, hosted close to 60 companies in a
unique employability experience, strengthening the link between University and
Business. The encounter, in which more than 500 students and alumni took part,
gave attendees the chance to find out about professional opportunities related
to engineering, computer science, consulting, dentistry, biotechnology, optics,
physiotherapy, logistics, pharmacies, hospitals, and architecture firms.
The Rector of the
University, Rosa Visiedo,
inaugurated the Job Fair and encouraged attendees to take full advantage of the
resources and opportunities provided by the initiative. "At CEU, we want to help you develop your
talent and to define and achieve your life goals," she said and went
on to add that "We are committed to
employability, and we work to offer you the opportunity to make your personal
goals a reality, with the ultimate goal of improving society for the future."
The event was attended by Manuel Maqueda, professor of applied circular economy and
regenerative economy at Harvard, who gave a motivational speech entitled 'The future of sustainability: Are you ready
for disruption?'. He talked about how to overcome challenges and seize
opportunities in the inevitable transition to a circular and regenerative
economy, valued in trillions of euros and destined to create millions of jobs
while, at the same time, disrupting traditional business models.
