Research Mobility

USP-CEU Teaching and Research Staff

Research mobility must last a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months. Its purpose must be to update knowledge, learn new teaching or research techniques and methods, and establish new academic links or strengthen existing ones between teaching and research staff and between institutions.

* The individual concerned must contact servicioprevenció[email protected] at least 15 days before the CEU researcher undertakes mobility to another institution.

Teaching and Research Staff from Outside the CEU Universities

To promote scientific and academic collaboration with nationally and internationally renowned researchers and strengthen our priority research areas, CEU San Pablo University has established a procedure enabling professors and researchers from other institutions to undertake a research stay at our University.

This procedure is intended for academic staff, researchers and experts from universities, research centres, international organisations and other institutions whose work is related to CEU USP’s research areas.

Visiting researchers undertake to carry out the activities for which they have applied for or accepted the research stay and to adhere to the agreed start and end dates. During their stay, they must also comply with the University’s applicable rules and regulations. The research stay does not establish any employment relationship with our University.

Visiting researchers are responsible for covering their personal expenses, including travel, accommodation, meals, medical and accident insurance, as well as obtaining the appropriate visa to undertake their stay at the University.

To apply for a research stay at the university (link below)

Researchers from external institutions interested in undertaking a temporary research stay at CEU San Pablo University must contact the CEU researcher who will host them to request a provisional invitation letter. The host researcher will submit the request by completing the relevant invitation letter application form, available on the University’s intranet.

* The full or abbreviated name of the university will be replaced, as appropriate, with the name of the relevant university in each case.

Record of research groups

Art. 9 of the 2/2019 Regulation on the Recognition of University Research Groups, states that ‘whenever a significative change in the group’s trajectory happens, the researcher in charge will be able to ask the Research Committee for the review of its status in the Record without having to wait for the next evaluation call. Exceptional publications or projects concession by open call will be considered ‘significative change’, as well as any other change that duly reasoned is evaluated by the University Research Committee.

It will be necessary then to re-evaluate on the basis of data from the last 3 years. For this reason, the evaluation sheet (a different model for every School) must be filled in and submitted to [email protected], as well as the reasoned application signed by the PI of the GIR requesting the change of category.

* Muy importante: se realizarán 3 reuniones de la Comisión de investigación por curso académico para aprobar/desestimar las modificaciones propuestas en los meses de diciembre, abril y julio)
