The first CEU-Boston University Business of Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering Programme cohort of students has begun their experience in the State of Massachusetts. From January to August, 13 students from the School of Pharmacy belonging to this program will enjoy 5 months of study and 3 months of internships in companies in the Biotechnology and Biomedical Technology sector in the United States.
The students were visited by the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, Ainhoa Uribe, and the coordinator of the bilingual degrees in Pharmacy and Biotechnology, Julio Sevillano, both of whom wanted to accompany the students in their first steps at the American university. On their arrival they were welcomed by Tanya Zlateva, Dean, Metropolitan College & Extended Education; Lou Chitkushev, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; Neus Codina, Executive Director Met International; Miriam Evangelista, Program Manager; and Manuel Hurtado, intermediary between CEU USP and the American university.
During their
international mobility at Boston University, students take subjects such as Business of Biotechnology; Financial Concepts; Project Management; Ecommerce; International Business, Economics and Cultures; The Innovation Process; and Developing New Products and Services.
In addition to the Official Bachelor's Degree and an IBP Certificate (International Bilingual Programs) awarded by CEU San Pablo University, students who successfully complete this program will obtain an Advanced Graduate Certificate in International Business issued by Boston University Metropolitan College. This recognises the studies and internships completed in the United States.
