Communication is an art and a passion for which you must train thoroughly, read constantly, have references and, above all, put all that knowledge into practice. This is the basis of the Dual Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at Universidad CEU San Pablo.

Nowadays, information is inevitably linked to the presence of images and, mainly, video. For this reason, this simultaneous degree takes a journey through the different audiovisual processes: from the basics of photography, video, or radio to the latest stages of content production. Learn with the best means to create and offer relevant, truthful, and original content.

The Film & TV Development Program, taught by professors from the University of California, Los Angeles, is aimed at students from the School of Humanities and Communication Sciences who want to develop their careers as content developers and creative producers of film and television in the world capital of the audiovisual entertainment sector. It includes a training period in Madrid and a training semester in Los Angeles (USA). You will also have the opportunity to do an internship.

Communication professionals must be able to handle oral, written, and visual expression, as well as have a versatile profile that allows them to be always at the forefront of the sector.

With this Dual Bachelor’s Degree you will be able to acquire the skills needed in the profession:

Know the different journalistic genres. Use the language correctly in each of the specific areas of communication. Apply the basic principles of written communication. To develop the ability to create language both orally and in writing.

To know the different processes of creation of audiovisual productions from a theoretical-practical point of view, and their application through aesthetic abilities and technical skills.

Use the necessary narrative and technological techniques. Produce and manage the image and information content of institutions, media, and companies. Be skilled in the management of the digital and interactive environment of communication.

To develop the journalistic profession with rigor and respecting the values of democracy. To make reflective value judgments on social norms and values. To develop the capacity for critical analysis of the news.

To learn about historical and current events. Analyze the impact that currents of thought have on social realities. To understand the basic principles of History, both Universal and Spanish, contextualizing the processes of historical change and the reasons that motivate them.

To know interactivity, hypertextuality, multimediality and the frequency of updating of digital journalism. Handle digital storytelling and its visualization. Organize information taking into account user experience, usability and implementation.

With this Dual Bachelor’s degree you will be able to complete two periods of Compulsory internships (in the fourth and fifth year) and, in addition, extracurricular internships that will add value to your curriculum and boost your professional projection.
