Acquisitions

Bibliographic acquisitions

Would you like to request the purchase of a book for the library, your classes or for a research project in your professional performance? These requests are suggestions that must be approved by management.

How to request the purchase of a book?

If when searching the catalog you see that the book you need does not appear or you consider that more copies should be acquired, you can send us a request by filling out the form fields.

This request will be evaluated by the library management.

If the book is acquired in physical format, we will send it to the branch that you have indicated in the form at the time of the request.

If it is purchased in digital format, we will notify you when it is available on our platform.
All university users, students, non-teaching staff and teaching and research staff can send purchase suggestions to the library.

As a teacher you can send us a request by filling in the form fields, suggesting the purchase of recommended bibliography.

In case it is a research project, the name of the project and its reference should appear (our colleagues from the OTRI will provide it to you). You can send us a request by filling in the fields of the project form.

As a student you can send us your suggestions for books to include in the library's collection by filling out the fields in the form.

You can indicate the books you wish to purchase by filling in the form fields.

Recommended bibliography

The recommended bibliography is the set of optional reference materials that the faculty proposes to the students to deepen in the topics studied in the subjects of each faculty.

As a general rule, the faculty must request the purchase of the material that makes up the bibliography in the month of May.

What documents can you request?

Any book related to teaching, learning and research. Up to 3 copies are admitted. In case the professor needs more (maximum 5), the request must be justified.

Order processing

Orders are placed after verifying the lack of the requested works in the Library's collection or justifying the need to acquire more than one copy.

How long will it take for the document to arrive?

The delivery time of the document depends on the requested copy, its availability and the publishing group or supplier distributor.
