Biomedical Engineering

In order to define the ideal profile of new students wishing to enter this Bachelor’s degree, we take into account the final educational objectives that we propose to achieve in three aspects:

• Students. They must have good previous knowledge in science subjects, observation and analysis skills, and intellectual, social and scientific concerns. Attitudinally, they must be willing to work hard, both individually and as part of a team. Therefore, in the selection process we pay special attention to the candidate's motivation and abilities in relation to the above-mentioned concerns. Other attitudes such as initiative, responsibility and the ability to work and solve problems in a team are also important.
• Future professionals. At the end of this degree, students should be future professionals with a solid scientific background who are also fluent in English for their mobility and incorporation in international professional forums. To this end, more than half of the training is taught in English. It also lays the necessary foundations for those who wish to access higher education and specialize in fields such as scientific research, technological development activities, etc.
• Training. With the objective of the student's subsequent integration into professional life, this degree is the result of a comprehensive training. Among our objectives is autonomous learning, for which we motivate students to develop the ability to carry out experimental designs based on the scientific method and the interpretation of different works in this field. We also promote critical analysis, management and leadership skills, as well as the spirit of leadership.

As for the baccalaureate of origin, it is desirable that the student comes from a technical or biosanitary branch as a secondary option.
