Language Centre

The Language Centre offers language courses in three sessions every year - Semester 1, Semester 2 and a Summer Intensive Course in small groups divided by levels as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Courses comprise 40 hours of tuition and are offered at very competitive prices for CEU students - €275. Tuition hours are scheduled so as to be compatible with students’ timetables as well as convenient for them.

Classes use a communicative approach and work on all language skills, and students can choose between a general language course or one that helps them prepare for official exams.

The Language Centre offers specific courses to prepare for TOEFL ITP and TOEFL iBT for all CEU students enrolled in International Bilingual Programmes (IBP’s). These courses run for a whole quarter (cuatrimestre) and include 20 hours of tuition. They are aimed at students who are yet to meet the language requirements for their programme. These courses are free of charge for students enrolled in IBP’s.

The Language Centre offers Spanish as a Foreign Language courses to international students who have chosen to study Dentistry or Physiotherapy at CEU, as well as to Erasmus exchange students from over 25 countries.

Courses run for a whole quarter (cuatrimestre) and they are taught in groups divided by levels as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The aim of these courses is to introduce key language structures and communicative aspects of Spanish.

The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official language certifications awarded by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. In addition to certifying language proficiency in Spanish as a Foreign Language, they are internationally recognised and do not have an expiration date.

The Language Centre at Universidad CEU San Pablo has been recognised as a DELE Examination Centre by Instituto Cervantes since 2011.

Duration

With myClass you will be able to manage your lessons freely as well as to adapt your courses to suit your needs.

You can choose among 30-hour, 60-hour, 90-hour and 120-hour courses, or the equivalent to 20, 40, 60 or 80 ECTS credits (1 ECTS credit = 1.5 hours of tuition).

Level Test

Anyone who has previous knowledge of German must take a level test consisting of a short written test and a short conversation. The cost of the level test (€25) will be deducted from the course price upon registration. Appointments can be made online or over the phone.

CEU Language and International Center (CLIC) is a space within the Language Centre which offers free social and cultural activities with a purpose: it gives students the chance to practice different languages with national and international students in a fun and enjoyable way. It includes a wide variety of topics and dates, and allows students to dive into their hobbies or find new ones while practising a language and meeting new people from University.
