At the School of Economics and Business we organize a wide range of activities, such as the Economic and Business News Program, business simulation practices, seminars and competitions held by large companies such as KPMG or Deloitte and many others.

We have the most cutting-edge laboratories for you to put into practice what you have learned. Use SPSS statistical software, SAS analytics software, Bloomberg terminals (used by traders and professional analysts of financial markets), and essential tools such as R programming, Google Analytics or Microsoft Excel.

Since 1999 we have a research center specialized in European integration and international relations of great European prestige. An Institute where you will enjoy training, activities, and projects, and which has the European Excellence Award of the Community of Madrid.

If you have a B2-C1 level of English, you can take a unique program offered by UNITAR, an autonomous institution at the United Nations (UN). The goal of this programme is to equip students with the necessary tools to face complex global challenges. This international program is held in Madrid and Geneva.

We have more than 9,000 internship agreements in companies with a worldwide presence so you can choose the field in which you want to specialize.

These are some of the competences of the Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and International Relations and the European Union:

Being able to relate international events to the theories formulated by the main authors of International Relations and other social and legal sciences. Analyse international conflicts.

Ability to discuss and analyze problems and structural characteristics of an economy in a globalized world, with special attention to the Spanish economy and that of the European Union. Understand international economic relations from a structural perspective, studying aspects such as development, growth, poverty, migrations, capital flows and the dynamics of international trade.

To understand the current European Union and its role in the world from a multidisciplinary perspective (history, thought, economics, politics, law and socio/cultural).  To understand the process of European integration in order to be aware of its scope and importance in the globalization process. Understand the general theoretical foundations of European economic integration and the international economic structure.

Public International Law, History of International Relations, and Comparative Political Systems, as well as the different geographical areas and international organizations of universal or regional scope.

Interpret both state and international norms, as well as procedures for peaceful settlement of disputes. Understand the application of public law principles to the international human and gender rights regime.

Represent and explain graphically and mathematically microeconomic models, as well as understand the basic foundations of the models provided by economic theory for the analysis of economic problems. Ability to explain mathematically and represent by means of graphic analysis basic macroeconomic models.

Know, master, and know how to apply different tools derived from calculus and mathematical analysis in the resolution of problems of an economic-financial nature; as well as understand the mathematical aspects of economic problems and interpret with a critical sense the results generated when applying the appropriate techniques.

Understand its applicability in economic and business relations, as well as those related to international business and finance. Ability to apply basic concepts of economic theory to the analysis of economic realities in order to understand the process of economic growth including variables of an institutional, social and political nature.
