The M&A market (which deals with mergers and acquisitions of companies) grew by 33.3% in Spain in 2022 and has doubled in size in just two years. During that year, almost 50,000 M&A deals were completed worldwide.

The Advanced Course in Business Law and M&A at Universidad CEU San Pablo is a pioneer. It is the first specialization in this field in the Spain and it offers the possibility of acquiring the most important knowledge to develop in the transactional and business world that is most in demand in the working world.

It is a degree that has an itinerary compatible with the Bachelor's degree in Law. It can be taken by adding two courses of three credits each per semester. It can also be taken from any other degree of this School.

You can also take an International Bilingual Program at Fordham University in New York, and you will have access to the language center to improve your knowledge of English and other languages. At Universidad CEU San Pablo, we have a prestigious teaching staff with a consolidated track record in the professional, teaching and research fields. In addition, the professors of the Certificate in Business Law and M&A are mainly practicing professionals from law firms in which operations that require this type of knowledge are carried out. Therefore, you will be able to learn and train in this area from lawyers with extensive practical experience.

This degree has been designed to be completed in parallel to the Bachelor's degree in Law, without involving an excessive teaching load. To this end, two courses of 3 credits each per semester are taken (2 hours/week per four-month period).

All the courses of the Bachelor’s degree in Law and the Advanced Course in Business Law and M&A are approached in a practical and realistic way. In addition, we have internship agreements with the best national and international law firms (Pérez-Llorca, Cuatrecasas, Allen & Overy, Ashurst, Baker McKenzie, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, Uría Menéndez, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer...).

Currently, 50% of the demands of large law firms are focused on this area of law. Therefore, we conceived this degree to respond to a real market need and is completely focused on the labor market insertion of students.
