VISITING STUDENT

STUDY ABROAD VISITING STUDENT

The Study Abroad Visiting Student Programme of CEU San Pablo University allows international students from foreign Universities to attend the Degree courses in different Faculties or at the University Polytechnic School for a semester or a whole academic year. The stay will be subjected to the payment of academic fees.

Students may register for a minimum of 12 ECTS credits and for a maximum of 60 ECTS credits for annual periods and a maximum of 30 ECTS credits for one-semester periods.

SELECTION CRITERIA

In the first place, the student must have attended and completed the equivalent to one academic year at his/her own University and must present an official record to prove it.

Secondly, the student will have to send his/her Curriculum Vitae and attach the appropriate certificates that prove all the merits that appear on the CV. The Curriculum will be examined by an Academic Committee, who will evaluate the academic training and previous capacity of the student to understand and follow the courses offered by CEU San Pablo University.

Some subjects require a previous knowledge, in which case, it will have to be justified by the student by presenting his/her Academic Record.

Students will be required to have the following language level:

  • Courses given in Spanish: B2 level, within the European Frame of Reference for Languages
  • Courses given in English: B2 level, within the European Frame of Reference for Languages

FEES

  • Foreign students from those universities with whom there is no longer an agreement available (students outside of agreement):

    70% of the CEU fees, regarding the Faculty or School (Registration fee + price per credit x number of credits to be given)

  • Foreign students coming from those universities with whom there is an exchange agreement:

          50% of the CEU fees, regarding the Faculty or School (Registration fee + price per credit x            number of credits to be given)

  • Supervised internships in hospitals (Rotating in Hospital)

INTERNATIONAL PROFFESORS

VISITING PROFFESOR

This modality within the Scholarship Program of the CEU San Pablo University for the Mobility of Foreign Professors has the purpose of promoting the integration of the visiting professor in the teaching assignment of the Schools or the Institute of Technology of the University and that he/she teaches in subjects of their respective Bilingual Programs.

PROPOSAL

The Dean of the School or the Director of the Institute of Technology must make the proposal to the Vice-Rector of Internationalization, within the teaching planning of each academic year.

Each Department will plan these teaching periods sufficiently in advance.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE VISITING PROFFESOR

Teaching for one semester or one academic year of the courses corresponding to degrees that offered by a Bilingual Program.

DEADLINE

Proposals of the Visiting Professors must be submitted to the Vicerectorate for Internationalisation at least 2 months before the date of the Visiting Professor's arrival.

DOCUMENTATION

To participate in the call for mobility of foreign professors, the following documents are needed:

  1. Application form (Annex I)
  2. Report justifying the suitability of the candidate
  3. Visiting Professor's Curriculum Vitae
  4. Authorization from the visiting professor's University to carry out the academic stay at the CEU San Pablo University.

FINAL REPORT

The Director of the Department, with the approval of the Dean or Director of the School that has hosted the visiting professor, must send to the Vice-Rector of Internationalization, within 30 calendar days from the date of return from the stay, a final report of the work carried out by the visiting professor, specifying the level of compliance with the objectives set out in the work report.

CONCESION PROCEDURE

The aids that are the object of the specific calls will be granted by the Permanent Commission of the University, at the proposal of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization.

GUEST PROFFESOR

This modality within the Scholarship Program of the CEU San Pablo University for the Mobility of Foreign Professors has the goal of encouraging teachers of recognized academic prestige and/or researchers to stay and teach and/or do research at our University for a short period of time, between one week and one month.

PROPOSAL

The Dean of the School or the Director of the Institute of Technology must make the proposal to the Vice-Rector for Internationalization of the University.

Priority will be given to the presence of professors linked to the University's Bilingual Programs, as well as to the presence of professors from Universities with whom the University maintains a solid institutional and academic relationship.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE GUEST PROFFESOR

The visiting professor is expected to develop an academic/research program that should involve both students and professors.

The classes taught by the visiting professor should be fully integrated to the students' Study Plan. This part will require sufficient justification and preparation by the person responsible for the Knowledge Area and/or Teaching Unit.
