Cybercrime Investigation & Cybersecurity

The program takes place at the MET's Department of Applied Social Sciences and prepares the student to face contemporary challenges in the area of cybersecurity and cybercrime. 

Upon completion of the program and after graduating from USPCEU, the student obtains a graduate certificate:“Cybercrime Investigaton and Cybersecurity Graduate Certificate” issued by Boston University.

Estructura del programa

During the second semester of their 4th year of studies (Criminology Degree) or their 5th year (Law+Criminology), students in the program will take the following courses in Boston: 

  • Cybercrime 
  • Applied Digital Forensic Investigation 

And two subjects to choose from the following:

  • Cyberterrorism and cyber Defense 
  • White-collar crime 
  • Enterprise cybersecurity management 
  • Digital Forensics and Investigations 
  • Mobile Forensics and Security

Admission requirements

Learn about the academic and administrative requirements for enrolling in the Cybercrime Investigation & Cybersecurity programme and participating in this unique educational experience.

Academic level
  • Be a student of 3rd year of Criminology or 2nd year of Information Systems Engineering (or 3rd year of dual degree) or simultaneous associate degrees at USPCEU.  
  • Have passed 180 ECTS of your bachelor's degree at CEU.
Required level of English
  • English level: C1
  • TOEFL: 84 IBT / 560 ITP
  • IELTS: 6.5 
Administrative requirements
  • Fill in the application form available on the program's intranet. 
  • Comply with all administrative and legal requirements that Boston University requires of international students. 
  • Sign the program's rules and regulations for the duration of the program

Estimated cost of the programme

The student of the program has special economic conditions, enjoying a discount on CEU fees during the academic year of mobility (the student continues to pay CEU academic fees by virtue of the university place he/she occupies) and a reduced price on the official fees of the partner university.  

Estimated price of mobility in 2025-26: 17,470€ (updated annually).
