Key Features and Advantages

International Business Certificate

Students will study financial concepts, organisational behaviour, advertising strategies and marketing principles, alongside peers from various countries, under the guidance of professors and professionals from the sector with valuable contacts in the business world.

The American education system provides students with the scientific and technical English necessary for their professional development at an international level and stimulates the critical thinking necessary to develop essential skills for conflict resolution and decision making.

At the end of the programme, the student obtains a certificate: 'International Business Certificate' issued by Boston University.

Structure of the program

Durante los tres primeros cursos de su grado en el CEU, el estudiante del programa cursará 3 módulos intensivos impartidos por profesores de Boston University:

  • Digital Marketing
  • Current Trends in Business
  • Business Analytics

Tras haber finalizado los tres primeros módulos en Madrid, el estudiante realizará su movilidad a Boston y podrá elegir entre el itinerario International Business Certificate (Undergraduate Certificate) o International Business Certificate ( Advanced Graduate Certificate): 

  • International Business Certificate (Undergraduate Certificate): el alumno cursará en el Metropolitan College de Boston 4 o 5 asignaturas, a elegir entre una variedad de materias de Negocios, Marketing o Finanzas durante el primer cuatrimestre de su 4º o 5º curso.

  • International Business Certificate (Advanced Graduate Certificate)*: el alumno cursará en el Metropolitan College de Boston 4 o 5 asignaturas, a elegir entre una variedad de materias de Negocios, Marketing o Finanzas durante el segundo cuatrimestre de su último curso y realizará posteriormente 3 meses de prácticas en EEUU (incluidas en el programa). Tras la obtención del certificado, el alumno podrá optar a la posibilidad de realizar prácticas adicionales OPT.

Metodología

El estudiante del programa se beneficia de dos métodos educativos distintos y complementarios que, combinados, le proporcionan una visión global y una capacidad de adaptación que serán altamente valoradas a la hora de acceder al mercado laboral.

Academic Level
  • Pass the university entrance exams.
  • Have a strong academic record and demonstrate clear motivation to participate in the program.
  • Complete an interview in English with the program coordinator.
  • During the semester in Boston, the minimum passing grade is B-, and no grade below this will be considered for the certificate.
  • Students must also be aware that they are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (equivalent to 7.5/10 in Spain) in order to proceed with the program’s internship component.
  • To be eligible for the Advanced Track, students must:
  • Have completed 180 ECTS credits at CEU.
  • Have passed the three modules in Madrid with a minimum grade of B+ (87/100).
  • Have an overall GPA of 7.5/10 in their CEU degree (equivalent to a 3.0 GPA in the U.S. system).
Required English Level
  • English Level: B2
  • TOEFL ITP: Minimum score of 540

Estimated Program Cost

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE

Total program fee for the 2025–2026 cohort: €27,300.

ADVANCED GRADUATE CERTIFICATE 

The cost of this track will only vary during the mobility year.

The estimated fee for the 2025–2026 academic year is €19,000.

This amount is subject to adjustment based on the official tuition rates of the host university during the mobility period.

Exclusive Discount for CEU Students

The student of the programme has special economic conditions, enjoying a discount on the CEU fees during the academic year of mobility (the student continues to pay the CEU academic fees according to the university place he/she occupies) and a reduced price on the official fees of the partner university. Total price of the programme for the promotion 2025-2026: 27.300 €

Scholarships

Each year, Boston University and Universidad CEU San Pablo jointly award a scholarship to cover the full programme-specific fees for the benefit of a high-achieving student.

In addition, a few months before the mobility, the University may award scholarships to students with the best academic records to help them cover part of the programme. The scholarships will in no case cover the full amount. The University reserves the right to leave the scholarships vacant.
