The new Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Engineering at Universidad CEU San Pablo is a response to the growing need of companies to apply artificial intelligence in order to perform increasingly advanced data analytics. Although it has points in common with other degrees such as Computer Engineering or Mathematical Engineering, with this degree you will learn to extract knowledge in any scientific and business field.

Mathematics, statistics, and computer science come together in a four-year program with a strong practical focus. Our ultimate goal is for you to learn the techniques and application of the most advanced computational tools for data analysis to propose solutions to complex problems and facilitate data-driven business decision making.

The Data Science and Engineering program, which is taught in bilingual mode (Spanish-English), will lay the foundations of your learning in artificial intelligence through subjects such as Machine Learning and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, among others. It also offers two itineraries, Bioinformatics and Business Information Systems, which will allow you to professionalize and specialize. You can also choose a third open itinerary with optional subjects.

Business Information Systems, teaches you the cryptographic techniques used for the management and processing of data, the development of mobile applications, as well as the different types of systems for storing information in companies.
You can also choose an open pathway with Elective.

You will work during your studies with real projects (both in class subjects and in the fourth year internship subject), which will determine a valuable professional experience at the end of the degree. We have agreements with leading companies that integrate data science and engineering into their business model, and our career service will help and guide you to get the internship that best suits your interests. You will also be able to do optional internships to make this professional experience even more valuable.
