Leading
companies such as Generali, Enimbos, Everis, Capgemini and Fujitsu have concluded
an agreement with CEU universities to participate in providing scholarships and
mentoring to students on CEU Digital Tech programs.
The students
will have recourse to mentors from these companies, who will be on hand to advise
them on meeting the challenges they will face, while also taking an active role
in preparing the students for their transition to the world of work. In addition, successful applicants will be eligible
for financial assistance to allow them to pursue their studies. Part of the amount dedicated to these
scholarships will be destined to the advancement of female students in the
technological world through the CEU Tech Women program.
The agreement is a great step forward for the
university-business relationship model. It opens degrees such as Expert of the
Cloud Computing program powered by Amazon Web Services to both new and
continuing students as well as the Advanced Data Science program powered by SAS
and the Artificial Intelligence program powered by Microsoft, all of which are
modular, allowing students to personalize their study plan.
Ricardo
Palomo, head of Partners and Business Intelligence at CEU Digital Tech, has
noted that the agreement represents the real involvement of the business sector
in the international race to promote expertise in the field of technological
skills.
For the CEU
Universities of the San Pablo CEU University Foundation the agreement demonstrates
their commitment to technological and methodological innovation, to increasing their
academic offer, and to improving the opportunity for future employment for CEU
students, all of which consolidates the CEU brand and marks them out as part of
an innovative institution.
