About Erasmus+ Grants and Bilateral Scholarships

Universidad CEU San Pablo's global reach offers students the chance to study abroad thanks to its numerous agreements with universities across all continents, be it within the framework of the European Commission's Erasmus+ Programme or through Bilateral Exchange agreements executed between Universidad CEU San Pablo and foreign universities.

Within the framework of institutional mobility, an agreement for professor and/or student exchange was executed with Colgate University in Hamilton, New York (USA), in order to work as a Language Assistant at the Languages Deparment. This is a paid internship. 

Who Can Apply

Any student at the Universidad San Pablo-CEU may apply for this position, and it is particularly suitable for doctoral students or students in their final years. Some kind of academic link with the Universidad San Pablo-CEU is required.

Period

Academic year 2023-24. The scholarship will be held between August 2023 and May 2024.

SICUE (Sistema de Intercambio entre Centros Universitarios Españoles) is a national mobility program for university students, promoted by Crue-Asuntos Estudiantiles and Crue-Internacionalización y Cooperación, which has been in operation since 2000. This program allows undergraduate students to spend a period of study in a Spanish university institution other than the one in which they are enrolled, with guarantees of academic recognition and achievement, as well as suitability to their curricular profile.

The application period for mobility during the academic year 24-25 will be from 02/19/2023 to 03/04/2023.

Universidad CEU San Pablo has been allocated a total of 9 scholarships, which shall be awarded to applicants with the best academic records.

The countries applicants will be able to study in with this scholarship are as follows: Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru and Uruguay.

Only students who have been assigned a bilateral mobility spot in one of the above-mentioned countries in the 2020-21 International Mobility Process organised by the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation can apply for this scholarship.

Students wishing to apply for a ‘Beca Iberoamérica Estudiantes de Grado Santander Universidades’ scholarship must register at: www.becas-santander.com first.

The aforementioned is an absolutely essential requirement. Once that done, students will need to hand in the filled-out application form at the International Mobility Office, Oficina de Movilidad Internacional, Julián Romea, 20 - Ground Floor.

Universidad CEU San Pablo has an agreement with Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) by which it offers an innovative and exclusive learning project, which involves completing undergraduate studies at Universidad CEU San Pablo and then pursuing graduate studies in Nantes. Learning on this programme will be international, practical, and focused on the reality of work.

Audencia Business School is a ‘Grande Ecole’, located in Nantes, the capital of the administrative seat of Loire-Atlantique, in the West of France. Established in 1900 it is one of the oldest business schools in the world and one of the most prestigious in Europe. Further, it is in the top-10 business schools in France and its programmes have obtained the Triple Crown Accreditation - EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. 

Programme details:

ADMISSION:

Students will be able to apply for a mobility spot in year 3. Candidates will be selected taking into account their academic performance throughout their undergraduate studies at CEU as well as their level of English (needs to be certified). Knowledge of French will be a plus.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• Before going to France:
  
  • Having obtained ECTS 180 of undergraduate studies at CEU (three full years).
  • Having taken a TOEIC exam (minimum score 850, B2 level).
    
    
• In order to be conferred their Master’s Degree:
  • Have successfully taken at least ECTS 60 during their academic year in Audencia [equivalent to a Major in the autumn semester and a Major in the spring semester]. Students will be able to choose amongst the following majors: Finance, Marketing and Management.

LANGUAGE OF TUITUION:

Tuition will be in English only.

FEES:

Students will only pay for their degree or double degree and will incur no extra cost for this programme.

• Syllabus: Years 1, 2 and 3 (undergraduate studies) at CEU + year 4 (graduate studies) in France.
• Mobility to France in the last year of the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management (Year 4) with a workload of ECTS 60 (CEU). Credit transfer will only be available for ECTS 36 out of ECTS 60. In their last yearof studies, students will have to do a total of ECTS 24 which are not subject to credit transfer, as follows: their placement (ECTS 12), their Final Year Project, ‘TFG’ (ECTS 6) and take the course Sistema Fiscal Español (Spanish Tax System, ECTS 6) + ECTS 60 at Audencia.

Dual Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management and Marketing and Commercial Management + Master's degree in Management at Audencia Business School, France

• Syllabus: Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 (undergraduate studies) at CEU + year 5 (graduate studies) in France.
• Mobility to France in the last year of the Dual Bachelor in Business Administration and Management + Marketing and Commercial Management (Year 5) with a workload of ECTS 48 (CEU). Credit transfer will only be available for ECTS 30 out of ECTS 48. In their last yearof studies, students will have to do a total of ECTS 18 which are not subject to credit transfer, as follows: their placement (ECTS 12), and their Final Bachelor's degree Project, ‘TFG’ (ECTS 6) + ECTS 60 at Audencia.

Dual Bachelor's degree in Law + Business Administration and Management + Master's degree in Management at Audencia Business School, France 

• Syllabus: Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 (undergraduate studies) at CEU + year 5 (graduate studies) in France.
• Mobility to France in the last year of the Dual Bachelor's degree in Law + Business Administration and Management (Year 5) with a workload of ECTS 81 (CEU). Only ECTS 60 out of ECTS 81 are subject to credit transfer. In their last yearof studies, students will have to take a number of subjects at CEU which are not subject to credit transfer, as follows: the placement (ECTS 12), the Final Bachelor's degree Project, ‘TFG’ (ECTS 6), and 1 CEU distance course + ECTS 60 at Audencia.

Some of the main objectives of Universidad CEU San Pablo are fostering its international projection, in order to provide our students with all the opportunities that internationalization brings, boost student’s professional opportunities, and attract international talent. This bilateral agreement with Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD), in Chile, allows participant students to receive two diplomas for their Bachelor in Nursing, one issued by each of the signing higher education institutions. Students are required to comply with several requisites and select one of the two available pathways:

• Option 1: Mobility period in CEU-USP for UDD students.
• Option 2: Mobility period in UDD for CEU-USP students.

For both pathways, courses are taught in Spanish.

La Universidad CEU San Pablo y el Institut Catholique de Paris (París, Francia) han firmado un acuerdo para ofrecer a los estudiantes de ambas instituciones una nueva doble titulación internacional, con el objetivo de promover el avance de las Humanidades y las Ciencias Sociales, cruciales para abordar los retos de la sociedad contemporánea.

Características del Programa:  

Los estudiantes de USPCEU podrán solicitar la plaza de movilidad al ICP en 3º o 4º curso para obtener su Diplome Universitaire. El programa se desarrolla a lo largo de un año académico completo.  

• Los estudiantes matriculados en USPCEU y que hayan completado el parcours Information-communication del programa de doble titulación recibirán:
  • El Grado en Periodismo, Comunicación Digital, Comunicación Audiovisual, o Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas de USPCEU.
  • Diploma universitario Etudes internationales franco/hispaniques - parcours Information-communication de ICP. 
• Los estudiantes matriculados en USPCEU que hayan cursado el parcours humanités/art de la doble titulación recibirán:
  • El Grado en Humanidades, Historia o Historia del Arte de USPCEU.
  • Diploma universitario Etudes internationales franco/hispaniques - parcours Humanités/art de ICP.

• Carta de motivación en español y en francés  
• Certificar un nivel mínimo B2 en francés  

Para obtener el Diplome Universitaire:

• Los estudiantes de USPCEU matriculados regularmente en cualquiera de los itinerarios mencionados deberán convalidar sesenta (60) ECTS para obtener la doble titulación.

Los itinerarios formativos del IPC se imparten íntegramente en francés

No requiere ningún gasto adicional por parte del alumno (el precio es el del grado o doble grado que realiza).

Erasmus+ provides funding for graduate and undergraduate students to be able to gain work experience through placements abroad. Newly graduated students may also take part in the program.

Through these placement abroad, participants will have the chance to improve their communication, language, intercultural and many other highly-valued skills, which will help them develop a more entrepreneurial mindset and will be very useful when entering the job market.

Erasmus+ placements may be combined with a study period abroad.

Erasmus+ offers online linguistic support to help participants improve their knowledge of the language in which they will work.

Noteworthy Considerations:

• The mobility term is between 2 and 12 months. Placements may be offered in different areas: businesses, research centres, laboratories, associations, academic institutions, etc. for a maximum of 12 months)
• Participants are expected to work full time during their placement
• The grant covers any expenses related to the mobility, mainly travel expenses and board
• Participants must be either registered at higher education institutions or, it they are recent graduates, the placement must take place within one year of graduation.
• Erasmus+ traineeship grants are compatible with Erasmus+ study grants, for as long as they do not occur simultaneously but one after the other. The following organizations are not eligible for Erasmus+ traineeship grants:
• European Institutions.
• Organizations who manage EU Programs.
• National diplomatic representation (embassy, etc.) of the student’s home country in the host country.
• Students who organise their own international placements may apply for an Erasmus+ grant for as long as they meet all the above requirements and procedures
• After their placement, students must draft a final report on their experience, learning and project execution.  For further information, clic here. The deadline for submission of said report will be 30 days counting from the last day of the placement. To compile all information relating to their mobility, students will have to use the Mobility Tool (MT+) at www.webgate.ec.europa.eu.

In order to apply for an Erasmus+ grant for International Placements, students must submit to their School’s Career Center the Application Form that they can download from either the university website or their Student Portal. Applicants will be included in the selection process per COIE’s requirements (see Placements and Jobs on CEU’s website).

Placements must last 2 months, which is the period that will be funded by Universidad San Pablo CEU and the European Commission.

Study Abroad Visiting Student Programme of Universidad CEU San Pablo gives international students from foreign universities the chance to experience a study period abroad (semester or full academic year) following the degrees of the different Schools and the Institute of Technology. The stay will be subject to the payment of tuition fees.

Students must complete a minimum of 12 ECTS Credits and a maximum of 60 ECTS Credits, for full-year stays; and 30 ECTS Credits, in case of semester stays.

• International students from universities without an Exchange Agreement:
  70% CEU fees, depending on the School or Institute (enrollment reservation + price per credit x number of credits to complete)
• International students from universities with an Exchange Agreement:
  50% CEU fees, depending on the School or Institute (enrollment reservation + price per credit x number of credits to complete)
  CEU Fees
• Tutored internships in hospitals (clinical rotation)

Fostering professors’ international mobility with foreign universities, with which we have - or intent to build -a strong institutional and academic relationship is at the heart of the goals of Universidad CEU San Pablo.

Our Institutional Mobility Programme falls within the set of actions boosted by the university in terms of academics and students mobility, joint programs and agreements for dual degrees with foreign universities. Additionally, said program should help to increase visibility for all actions taken by both Fundación Universitaria CEU San Pablo and Universidad CEU San Pablo to promote academics mobility, both for teaching and researching purposes.

This Call for Applications is aimed at professors at Universidad CEU San Pablo wishing to teach or research and staff who would like to receive training at one of the universities with which we have signed exchange agreements within the European Commission’s Erasmus Programme. The aim is to foster and encourage knowledge exchange, be it scientific, technical or based on teaching periods in the framework of European Higher Education. With this in mind, the European Commission, the Region of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid) and Universidad CEU San Pablo award partial funding for travel and board expenses.

This category is part of Universidad CEU San Pablo scholarship program for foreign professors' mobility and it seeks to encourage participation of visiting professors in teaching assingments at the different Schools or at the Institute of Technology, thus allowing them to teach in the bilingual programms on offer.

The School Dean or the Principal of the Institute of Technology will submit the proposal to the university’s Vice-Rector for Internationalization, per the teaching planning for each academic year. Each department must plan well ahead the teaching periods.

Teaching in bilingual programs for either a semester or an academic year.

Visiting Professors’ proposals must be submitted to the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations at least 2 months prior to their stay.

The application for foreign professors mobility must include the following documents:

• Application Form (Appendix I)
• Report certifying the candidate’s eligibility
• Visiting Professor’s CV
• Authorisation issued by the university of the visiting professor to teach at Universidad CEU San Pablo during the agreed period.

The Department Director, having obtained leeway from the Dean or the School Director that is hosting the visiting professor, shall submit to the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, within a maximum of 30 calendar days since the date of return, a recount of the work carried out by the visiting professor, detailing the level to which they have met the objectives set out in the work recount.

The bursary corresponding to each Call for Applications will be awarded by the university’s Permanent Commission at the request of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization.

This category is part of Universidad CEU San Pablo scholarship program for foreign professors mobility and it seeks to encourage highly-regarded professors and researchers to spend between one week and one month at our university.

The School Dean or the Director of the Institute of Technology will submit the proposal to the university’s Vice-Rector for Internationalization.

Priority will be given to professors involved in the university’s bilingual programs, as well as to professors from universities with which Universidad CEU San Pablo has strong institutional and academic relations.

Visiting professors must design an academic/research programme involving both students and professors.

The courses to be taught by visiting professors must be included in the students’ course syllabus. In order to do this, the head of studies for the subject and/or the head of unit will have to ensure sufficient reason and due planning.

 Institutions will need to submit their proposal at least a month prior to the stay at a university.

The application for foreign professors mobility must include the following documents:

• Application Form
• Report certifying the candidate’s eligibility
• Visiting Professor’s CV
• A photocopy of the applicant’s passport
• Authorization issued by the university of the visiting professor to teach at USPCEU during the agreed period.

The Department Director, having obtained leeway from the Dean or the Director of the School that is hosting the visiting professor, shall submit to the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, within a maximum of 30 calendar days since the date of return, a recount of the work carried out by the visiting professor, detailing the level to which they have met the objectives set out in the work recount.
