The “Cátedra Generali–CEU de Diversidad, Inclusión e Igualdad de Oportunidades ante el Empleo“ has awarded its first scholarships to three of its students, recognising their quality and vision in their Final Degree Projects (TFG) about the struggles in diversity, equity, and inclusion within the corporate environment.
Each one of the awarded students will receive a scholarship of 10.000 euros to continue with their academic development and with their postgraduate studies. The awardees were Beatriz Muñoz Galindo (Business Administration, Marketing and Commercial Management), Lorena Nevado Vílchez (Law and Business Administration), and María Castillón García (Marketing and Digital Communication). Their projects were selected from 15 other proposals by a mixed jury from Generali and CEU, which particularly valued innovation, business applicability, and alignment with the objectives of the Chair.
The award ceremony was held in Generali’s offices and was attended by Carlos Escuder, CEO of Generali´s Group in Spain; María Babé, Chief Marketing, Customer & Communications Officer; Beatriz de Cominges, Chief Strategy, Transformation & Sustainability, and Alberto Ogando, Chief People & Organization. Representing CEU San Pablo were Rosa Visiedo, Rector of CEU San Pablo University; Mercedes Ruiz Palacios, Director of the Chair; and Ricardo J. Palomo, Dean of the faculty of Economics and Business, along with the tutors of the winning TFG and the students’ families.
Carlos Escudero, CEO of Generali’s Group in Spain Grupo Generali, pointed out that scholarships: “Are an investment in the future of the younger generations, and, also, an invitation to develop their growth. Companies need talent and commitment together with the values that build a fairer society, more humane and open with others”.
Rosa Visiedo, Rector of CEU San Pablo University, closed the ceremony emphasising that “these scholarships are an example of how the university and business could work together to create real opportunities”. She highlighted that, “with this Chair and these scholarships we take another step towards our mission: to educate individuals of value, able to transform the world through Christian humanism, excellence and inclusion”. She added, “Thank you to Generali for joining us in this commitment, and to our students for inspiring us with your work”.
Purpose and Vocation of the Generali–CEU Chair
The Generali–CEU Chair of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity of Opportunities in Employment was born with the aim of inspiring and educating students in the values of diversity and inclusion, connecting the academic world with the professional environment. The main objective is to be the link between the university and business, enhancing young people’s employability and promoting the development of future professionals capable of addressing current labour market challenges with an innovative and responsible mindset.
This initiative reinforces Generali’s commitment to education, innovation, and young talent development, positioning diversity and inclusion as pillars of a fairer and more competitive professional environment.
