CEU San Pablo University and Moeve have entered into a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting research and the development of digitalisation projects focused on the energy transition. The goal is to boost knowledge and research in these fields among young talent. This partnership falls under the 'Green Digital' Chair and was signed by David Villaseca, Chief Digital Officer at Moeve; Rosa Visiedo, Rector of the University; and Carmen García de Elías, the University's Managing Director.
As a result of this agreement, the CEU-Moeve Classroom has been inaugurated in the Faculty of Economics and Business, providing a learning space for activities related to the partnership. The classroom aims to foster the development of skills and competencies among students, facilitating their entry into the job market. Over the coming months, the CEU-Moeve Classroom will explore key topics such as practical workshops on IoT and energy efficiency for students and faculty, as well as the recently held Innovation Rock Hackathon.
In the words of David Villaseca:
"We are committed to collaborating with the innovation ecosystem, of which academic institutions like CEU San Pablo University are a key part, to develop new initiatives that drive the energy transition. For this transformation to be sustainable, scalable, and real, we must involve and empower young talent—the future of our society."
Rosa Visiedo, Rector of the University, added:
"The CEU-Enterprise Classrooms initiative aims to foster a closer and more effective relationship between our university and the business world. Its ultimate goal is to improve student training and enhance their integration into professional environments—ultimately increasing their employability. It is a win-win relationship for both the university and the companies involved."
Representing the University at the event were Ángel Bartolomé, Vice-Rector for Students and University Life; Ricardo Palomo, Dean of the Faculty; and Manuel Molina, Vice-Dean and Co-Director of the CEU-MOEVE Chair. From Moeve, attendees included María del Prado de Córdoba, Digital Change, and Arturo López-Brea, Head of Digital Change, Content & Capabilities.
A Clear Commitment to Employability
With a clear commitment to employability, CEU continues to strengthen its engagement with students and their professional futures through various projects that bring the business world closer to the university. CEU San Pablo University has created a true University-Business ecosystem, with initiatives such as the CEU-Enterprise Classrooms, where students receive complementary training while taking their first steps into the working world. The Moeve Classroom now joins the more than 40 CEU-Enterprise Classrooms established across the five Faculties and the Higher Polytechnic School.
