The Young University Ranking 2022 has evaluated and ranked 790 universities in the world established in the last 50 years.
Madrid, 15 February 2022. Times Higher Education has published the results of the 2022 Young University Ranking, a scale that evaluates and ranks the world's universities that have been in existence for less than fifty years.
Among the 790 participating universities, CEU Universities (CEU Cardenal Herrera, CEU San Pablo and Abat Oliba CEU) occupies the 136th position. Translated to national level, it ranks in fourth place among the participating Spanish universities.
The ranking can be broken down into different categories. For example, CEU Universities is especially notable for the impact of its publications. In this category, defined according to the number of citations received by its researchers’ publications, CEU Universities is in thirty-second position overall, which means that it is the first private Spanish university in this respect. If both public and private universities are taken into account, CEU Universities is in second position among Spanish universities.
CEU Universities also stands out for the number of international students. The ratio of 20% of international students places it in fourth position among Spanish universities.
The ranking also analyses the gender distribution of the population of the participating universities. In this aspect, CEU Universities appears in first position among Spanish universities. Out of every one hundred people, 64 are women and 36 are men.
