CEU Universities have secured 2,933,550 euros in funding through the European Union’s 2026 Erasmus+ call for proposals, according to the provisional decision published by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE). This figure consolidates CEU’s position as the Spanish private university group with the highest level of European funding for international mobility, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in education open to the world.
As part of this result, Universidad CEU San Pablo has set a new record: according to provisional data on K131 grants, it will receive 1,732,912 euros, the largest amount of Erasmus+ funding the University has secured to date. This amount represents a very significant increase over the previous call for proposals (1.4 million), reflecting the sustained growth of its international activity and the European Union’s confidence in the quality of the projects submitted and managed by the institution.
In addition to this milestone, there are the positive results of the K131 funding awarded to Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (996,251 euros); Universitat CEU Abat Oliba (144,207 euros); and Universidad CEU Fernando III (60,180 euros), which will thus launch Erasmus+ mobility programs for its students in the 2026–27 academic year.
Erasmus+ KA131 grants are the European Union’s primary funding instrument for promoting the international mobility of students, faculty, and university staff among higher education institutions. Taken together, these results once again place CEU in a leading position among Spain’s private universities in the areas of internationalization and Erasmus program management, making it the educational group with the highest level of European funding in Spain.
These funds will enable the university to carry out a wide range of international initiatives during the 2026–2027 academic year, including Erasmus+ mobility programs for studies and internships, Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs), and other strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the international dimension of CEU universities—for students, faculty and researchers, and administrative staff alike.
Ainhoa Uribe, Vice-Rector for Internationalization at Universidad CEU San Pablo, emphasizes that “this result reflects the European Union’s confidence in our university’s ability to pursue high-quality internationalization that has a real impact on our students’ education. “Securing more than 1.7 million euros for the first time will allow us to expand mobility opportunities, promote new Erasmus+ projects, and continue to offer an increasingly comprehensive international experience for students, faculty, and administrative and support staff.”
