CEU-The University of Chicago Clinical Trials Managements Programme

This specific programme, taught by professors from The University of Chicago, offers students at the School of Pharmacy cutting-edge training in clinical trials, which have become increasingly complex in recent years, due to factors such as the complexity of the designs, the decentralisation resulting from the pandemic and the conduct of large-scale trials.

Features

Structure

During their fifth year of the degree in Pharmacy in USPCEU, students of the programme will carry out 6 on-campus modules and a course  in Chicago to choose from the list below:

  • Good clinical practices
  • The drug development process
  • Statistical concepts for clinical research
  • Fundamentals of site management
  • Fundamentals of clinical monitoring
  • Project management and leadership in the Health Care Industry
  • An obligatory subject of the University of Chicago graduate programs

Methodology

Programme students will benefit from two different complementary learning methods, which combined, will provide them with a global view and the ability to adapt which will be highly taken into account when entering the job market.

Language

The programme modules are taught in English and the assignments related to the programme will be handed in the same language. The progamme offers students the chance to improve their English level, but it is specially aimed at candidates with high level of English (C).
